The Kerala Government would soon frame rules to notify tourist zones in the State as envisaged in the law enacted for the purpose by the last
Government, Tourism Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said here on Tuesday. Participating in a `Meet-the-Press programme, the Tourism Minister said the
department had been asked to frame the rules. The Government would also give shape to an eco-friendly master plan for tourism development in Munnar. The
focus in Munnar would be on big-time encroachers. All the encroached Government land would be resumed and used for planned development in future.
