Bhoothathankettu to be made adventure tourist spot
The District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC), is behind the project which aims in bringing people from all walks of life into the experience of adventure sports. The project also aims in attracting techies into organizing camps and experiencing adventure sports. A sum of 50 lakhs has already been allotted to the project and a Bhoothathankettu Management council will be formed to look into it.
Bhoothathankettu with a picturesque surroundings has the potential to be one of the must-visit places in Kerala. The place , now lacks in infrastructure so an investment into the place will surely make this a tourist hot spot. Once the project kicks off, the place will have a range of activities on offer from an upriver houseboat ride , speed boats, trekking in the jungle, rock climbing, fishing etc. The project sure seems to be on track to becoming a permanent mark on the Kerala tourism map.
